Day 1 – Negombo

Day 2 – Pinwala elephant orphanage & Dambulla

Approximately 55 miles from Colombo is Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The best time to see them is during feeding and bathing time. From there head to Dambulla Cave Temples some of which date back to the 1st century B.C. All the cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings.
2 nights Sigiriya

Day 3 – Sigiriya & Minneriya National Park

Sigiriya is home to perhaps one of the best sites on the island; the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. Afterwards, proceed to the small town of Minneriya, famous for the great Minneriya Lake and wildlife sanctuary.

Day 4 – Kandy & Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Kandy where you will enjoy a city tour and visit the Temple of Tooth relic. In the evening witness the Kandy Cultural Dance Performance in the evening.

Day 5 – Nuwara Eliya & Royal Botanical Gardens

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Nuwara Eliya set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. Visiting the Royal Botanical Garden, a Tea factory plantation and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
1 night Nuwara Eliya

Days 6 & 7 – Beach resort

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Bentota or Galle for your beach stay and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
2 nights beach hotel.

Day 8 – Continue to your onward destination
