Days 1 & 2 Your adventure begins in Avignon
Enjoy exploring this elegant old town. Don’t miss the Muse de Petit Place, the Pope’s Place and the beautiful Pont San Benezet.

Day 3 – Arles
Drive or catch the train to Arles. Drop off your bags at your hotel and spend the rest of the day enjoying this pretty Frech town where the famous artist Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works. Don’t miss the very well preserved Roman Amphitheatre, quaint streets and cute cafes.
1 night Arles
Day 4 – Nimes
Drive or catch the train to Nimes. If you are in the car then why take a short side trip to the famous Pont du Gard on the way. Once in Nimes enjoy the lovely city and its numerous Roman remains. Continue on to Montepellier for the evening.
2 night Montpellier
Day 5 – Montpellier
Spend the day exploring the highlights of the city including the triumphal arch, the cathedral and many trumploil murals on the walls of unexpected buildings, or just relax at one of the many cafes in the Place de la Comédie.
Day 6 – Narbonne
Drive/Catch the train to Narbonne. Once you have dropped your bags at your Narbonne accommodation explore the delightful old town centre, with its many canals, bridges, beautiful gardens and museums.

Day 7 – Carcassonne
Drive/catch the train to Carcassonne. The stunning medieval town with its turbulent history and dramatic beauty is the highlight for many when visiting this region.

Days 8 & 9 – Toulouse
Drive/catch a train to Toulouse. France’s ‘pink’ city, so named for its red brick buildings, is an elegant mix of modern and historical architecture. Enjoy a walk around the old city, relax in a cafe at the Place du Capital, walk along the riverside, check out some of the incredible museums and churches. Why not take a trip out to the Space Centre – Cite de L’Espace and discover more about the French space programme.
2 nights Toulouse.
