Day 1 – Windhoek

On arrival collect your hire car and proceed to your hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon to enjoy the facilities.

Day 2 – Okonjima

After breakfast depart Windhoek and drive north to Okonjima Game Reserve in the Otjozondjupa Region among the Omboroko Mountains.
(Approximately 2 ¼ hours drive). In the afternoon, why not visit the local Cheetah Project to learn about these beautiful endangered cats.

Days 3 to 5 – Etosha

After breakfast head to one of Namibia’s most famous areas Etosha National Park. Check in to your lodge just outside the park. From there you will be able to take optional game drives through the park. (Approximately 3 ¼ hours drive). Spend the next two days here to get a true feel for Namibia and enjoy the wildlife.

Day 6 – Omarura

Why not take a final early morning game drive before breakfast and your onward journey. Head south to the former mission station of Omaruru. The town is of historical importance and a centre for local arts and crafts. But first why not take a side trip on your way to Kamanjab where you can visit a local Himba village to find out more about their traditions and lifestyle. Later continue to the former mission station of Omaruru. (Approximately 3 – 5 hours driving subject to chosen route).

Days 7 & 8 – Swakopmund

After breakfast, continue to the iconic curved and colourful granite mountains of Spitzkoppe. Why not take a walk to view the ancient Bushmen paintings and engravings. From there turn away from the desert to the pretty German coastal town of Swakopmund where you can visit the pelicans at Walvis Bay, Skydive, go kayaking, take a trip to the dunes at Sandwich Bay, explore the township, or just relax at the beach. (approximately 2 ½ hours drive)

Days 9 & 10 – Sossusvlei

Take an early start through Walvis Bay towards Namib Naukluft National Park. Why not make a stop at the small settlement of Solitaire where you will have a chance to sample their world-renowned Apple Crumble. Continue your journey to Sossusvlei. Check into your accommodation in the afternoon. (approximately 5 ½ hours drive). In the evening, why not take a wild cat walk at the lodge. We advise an early morning start the next day to see the sunrise at the world’s highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Stop to view the Sesriem Canyon, which was carved millions of years ago by the Tsauchab River.

Day 11 – Windhoek

Today make your way back through the countryside to Windhoek. (Approximately 5 ½ hours drive). Enjoy a free evening.

Day 12 – Return to the airport for your onward flight.
