Days 1 & 2 – Your adventure begins in Cape Town

Relax and enjoy a free day in this beautiful city. Why not take the cable car up Table Mountain, relax at the waterfront or visit one of the lively townships.

Day 3 – Day Tour to Cape Point Peninsula National Park

The drive to the Cape Point Nature reserve and around the Cape Peninsula is one of the most remarkable drives anywhere in the world and features steep cliffs, stunning vistas and plenty of sightseeing opportunities! The national park has many lovely walks, hikes, horse riding and an African Jackass Penguin colony.

Day 4 – Half-day tour – Robben Island, Bo-kaap and Mandela Glasses

Stop at Bo-Kaap Malay quarter and learn about slavery in the Cape. Visit the famous Nelson Mandela’s glasses hear stories of Madiba’s visit to this spot. Take the 30-minute boat ride to the island for a guided tour with Robben Island guide around the island on the bus. Walk to the prison and meet an ex-prisoner who will share his stories. return to the V&A Waterfront.

Day 6 – Franschhoek

Collect your car and head along the famous Garden Route into the rolling countryside of the Winelands. In the afternoon perhaps hire a bike and cycle around the beautiful countryside, or visit one of the vineyards wine tasting.

Day 7 – Oudtshoorn

Continue along the inland road to Oudtshoorn where you can visit the Cango caves and wildlife park.

Day 8 – Knysna

Today head south to the coast road to the pretty seafront town of Knysna. Why not take a harbour cruise, or visit the nearby Ostrich farm.

Days 9 & 10 – Plettenberg Bay

Continue east along the coast to stunning Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma National park. Walk along the bridge at Storm River, try out one of the worlds largest zip lines. Visit the elephant sanctuary, Birds of Eden sanctuary, Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for big cats, or just hike in the surrounding Cragg Mountains.
2 nights Plettenberg

Days 11 & 12 – Safari.

Continue along into the Eastern Cape to your safari lodge. Enjoy some incredible game drives as well as relaxing in your lodge where you can enjoy the facilities and great South African food.

Day 13 – Depart for your onward destination.

More time?
Why not extend your trip by taking more time in each location, add in more stops to continue on to another part of South Africa such as KwaZulu Natal, Kruger National Park, Sun City or take one of the worlds great rail journeys on the Blue Train between Pretoria to Cape Town.
